THE BEGINNING
The Vision Behind Neha Eye Centre
The journey of Neha Eye Centre began with Dr. Pradip Kr. Ghosh, who was working as an ophthalmologist in a government hospital. Although government service provided valuable experience, inadequate facilities and an unsatisfactory working environment made it difficult to provide the standard of patient care he aspired to deliver. At the same time, the increasingly commercial approach of many corporate healthcare establishments was equally disappointing.
After considerable thought, Dr. Pradip Kr. Ghosh decided to create an independent ophthalmic facility that could combine modern medical technology and equipment with a friendly, comfortable and patient-centred environment. His vision was to establish an eye care institution where patients would receive quality ophthalmic treatment with personal attention, dignity and understanding.

His wife, Dr. Suparna Ghosh, wholeheartedly supported this vision. She made a significant contribution to the development of the institution after leaving her position as an eye surgeon at DSP Hospital.
Together, they worked towards creating an eye care centre that would bring together professional expertise, modern ophthalmic facilities and a humane approach to patient care.

On 16th August 1998, Dr. Pradip Kr. Ghosh and Dr. Suparna Ghosh established Neha Eye Hospital at Barrackpore, Kolkata – 700120.
